CPA is committed to establishing a Board of Directors that is reflective of the diverse communities we serve throughout the state of Pennsylvania. Our member-driven, grassroots organization’s mission is to support prevention professionals in eliminating substance misuse. Our board members champion the importance of exceptional board leadership and believe that each and every organization needs a strong and effective board to fully realize its potential for good. Therefore, we are seeking individuals who are energetic and passionate about advancing the field of prevention in Pennsylvania.
The CPA Board of Directors is a skilled volunteer board made up of CPA members from across the Commonwealth. In addition to the information below, please review details in the application and the CPA Bylaws (link below).
- Board members serve two-year terms
- Serve on one of the standing CPA committees
- Assist with the annual conference
- Active advocates and ambassadors for the organization

Scheduled Board Meetings
Adhering to Public Health Policy and for planning purposes, all 2021 Board of Director meetings will be virtual. Each application is held in confidence and will be reviewed by the nominating committee. Applicants will receive correspondence regarding board nominations following review of all applications.

In addition to the standard roles and responsibilities of a board member, our board members are active advocates and ambassadors for the organization and are fully engaged in identifying and securing the financial resources and partnerships necessary for CPA to advance its mission.
