At our January Region 3 meeting, Dr. Jordan Lewis gave a presentation on “Stress and the Teen Brain: Implications for Health and Opportunities for Intervention.” She explained the physiology of the stress response, the negative impact of stress on the adolescent brain, and the body’s response to stressors. Jordan received her doctorate in Neuroscience from Penn State College in Medicine and is currently a William Penn Fellow for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, serving in a policy analyst role with the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs.
